Eternal Encouragement and Hope

II Thessalonians 2:16
"May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word."

Dear Warriors,

Greetings in the name of the Lord! Thank you for being a part of our mission ministry through AIM. Michelle and I, along with the whole family, want you to know how much we appreciate your prayers and support. Let`s believe together in faith for 2013 to be the most fruitful year ever for His Kingdom.

HERE IS AN UPDATE:

Ballet Magnificat: "Snow Queen" finished well with a strong performance. Michelle helped with many of the costumes and Samantha did make-up. Jacob and Abigail performed in the gathering.

Perhaps one of the most powerful scenes for me involved that of the fire, the wind, and the water. These symbolize the work of the Holy Spirit in one`s life. How powerful it remains to see people from all over the world gather to hear the gospel and be challenged to go out in the victory of the Lord in the power of the Holy Spirit!

Please pray for us as we continue to fulfill our call to the nations while being here in Mississippi. May God release new vision and give us faith and courage to move ahead in 2013.

SPECIAL APPRECIATION

While we extend a special appreciation to all of you for making this year a special one, we want to acknowledge and give our special thanks to Apostle Jim and Jan Erb at AIM. We thank God for their example they remain to us to have faith and carry on.

We also want to thank Pastor Phil and Alexa Taylor at Grace Fellowship Church of Titusville, PA. Your continued love and prayers for us remains so special. You are awesome!

We also want to thank Christlife Church of the Highlands with Pastors David and Nita Hale here in MS. We so appreciate you welcoming us into your Church family while continuing to make our way here.

For Keith and Kathy Th. at Ballet Magnificat in Jackson. We can`t say enough of your love and acceptance of our son Jacob and all of us here. We pray God`s continued blessing, and more blessing as this ministry goes international.

Finally we want to say how much we love and appreciate family, friends, and everyone who God puts in our partner throughout this journey. I am reminded of Rev. John and Sue Bowers in Erie. May God bless you mightily.

I think of Steve and Joy Helmuth in Arkansas. Thank you for hanging in there with us through this exciting season of our lives.

Of course, we thank our families in OH and PA. And, we thank God for all of you in Japan and everywhere. May God richly bless your Christmas and Holiday season.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

And, I can`t wait to share with you, concerning what God will have us do in 2013. Our only desire is to love God our Father with all of our heart, soul, and mind. And, we look to let that love pour out to those around us and to the world. Thank You!

GIVING

When you sow a seed into us and this ministry this month, may God grow a great harvest of fresh annointing over our families this year. May you experience all the blessings of God for you and yours. Thank you!

Finishing Well!

Psalms 100:3

"Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are His, we are his people, the sheep of his pasture."

Dear Partners,

We so love and appreciate you very much. Thank you for your prayers and financial support!

CONNECTION

Christmas remains a season of giving. God so loved us He gave. In fact, He gave his best; His one and only Son. As we enter December, I am so thankful and appreciative for your gifts and financial support. Your gifts have allowed us:

  • To have time as a family to be refreshed and grow together for Jesus while in MS.
  •  To be involved in the ministry of Ballet Magnificat; especially our son Jacob.
  •  To send Marcia and Abigail to the Japan Supplemental School and get involved with the Japanese community here in Jackson.
  •  To continue talking and relating with contacts in Japan and Asia.
  •  To take a medical mission trip to the Philippines with people from Japan.

As we look to the end of the year, I am reminded of how important it remains to finish well. Although we do what we can to make ends meet here, our time in MS depends on the support and prayers of individuals, families, and churches such as yourselves. These partners connect with us so that we might finish the assignment we have here in 2012 and lay foundations for 2013.

Would you consider sowing a significant gift into this ministry during this month? We desire to be good stewards of what God has for us to accomplish. And, we look forward to expanding for His Kingdom sake in 2013.

FAMILY UPDATE

As we approach Christmas, God leads us in so many exciting ways. Here is an update:

Michelle:

In addition to being a wife and mother, she continues to be used in the costumes area at Ballet Magnificat. Not only that, she continues to be a comfort and encouragement to those serving in this fruitful and effective ministry. I am so thankful for her and her "on fire" heart for God.

Samantha:

She just got her braces off. What a beautiful set of teeth. I can't thank my brother Chuck, the orthodontist, enough for his gift to us. She continues to seek God and make plans for next year. We so appreciate her as she prepares to launch out.

Jacob and Abigail:

They continue to remain active dancing with the ministry of Ballet Magnificat. God uses them to minister in churches, nursing homes, schools, etc., in the Jackson area. How blessed we are to see the younger generation know God and seek to make Him known through the gifts and talents God has given. We are so proud of them.

Marcia:

She has really grown over the past year. She plays the violen very skillfully and recently played for the Shuman family during the recent Thanksgiving holiday. She has a recital this Christmas season and we look forward to hearing that. Also, Marcia stays active babysitting throughout the week so a Ballet Magnificat teacher can train students in the dance and the things of God. We are so excited to see Marcia bloom and grow into her own person for Jesus.

JAPAN CONNECTION

We have also been involved with the Japan Supplementary School here in Jackson. Samantha teaches. Marcia and Abigail have joined as students. This participation has allowed us opportunity to meet and connect with Japanese people here.We continue to believe God to stir this nation for His Kingdom.

Please pray for us and for Japan!

THE BATTLE

Dear Partners,

So thrilled over your partnership with us! It’s an incredible blessing to have you connected.  Your seed of prayer and giving represents your confidence in God to release a harvest in your everyday life. Aim your seed like an arrow and be in expectation of God’s amazing favor to you!

THE BATTLE

The spiritual warfare around you and me rages on. Yet, we have authority in Jesus to confront and bind the enemy. Remember, we are more than conquerors in Christ.

In II Timothy 1:7 it says, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” Develop a mind-set of an over comer in Him!

Michelle and I are honored to be in partnership with you. We believe with you for your miracles!

We want to thank those who write us with concerns, encouragement, etc. Write us soon when you get time! WE LOVE HEARING FROM YOU!

MINISTRY AND FAMILY

While Michelle and I do what we can to supplement our ministry support and provide for our stay in Mississippi, we are grateful for the opportunities God gives to pray for others. So many people, not just us, are struggling to make ends meet and live their everyday lives. Through prayer, we may open the way for the supernatural to occur. PTL!

Also, I posted a picture of Jacob and Ballet Magnificat Youth Ballet on FB. God continues to use him, and the group, in a mighty way.  Abbie is doing some performing too!

Here are a couple of dates to pray for:

Magnificat! Youth Ballet

  • Saturday, November 17th – Sunnybrook Estates
  • Tentative – Thursday, November 29th – St. Catherine

Jacob and Abigail and Ballet Magnificat continue to work hard to prepare for the Christmas Ballet of “Snow Queen”. Please pray for that preparation and for God to move in a special way at that time.  Michelle also spends time sewing costumes for the dancers.

Meanwhile, Samantha continues to teach at the Japan supplementary school in Jackson. She baby-sits a lot and has proven a great help with keeping the house up. She is seeking the Lord for the next steps.

Marcia started playing violin again. She has really improved. She studies hard and helps out at Ballet Magnificat in the baby-sitting area. We love and appreciate her very much!

God continues to confirm our calling to ministry and mission outreach to Asia. Thank you for praying for us as we reach out here in Mississippi and the world as God leads.

CHRISTMAS OFFERING

God remains faithful! Despite so many blessings this year, we find ourselves behind in some of our personal expenses it takes to live here in MS. We believe God will supply our every need according to His riches in Christ! And, we seek His will about what strategy to take for the days ahead.

If you are able, we would like to invite you to plant a special seed throughout this Holiday season to help us get caught up with our expenses so we can finish well that for which God has called us here in MS. Thank you!

The True Grace of God

Dear Partners,

I hope you are enjoying our email updates. If you are, let us know! Tell us what you are sensing and feeling from the Lord. Perhaps you feel as we do about His love and power ordering all of our steps for His glory and advancement of the Kingdom!

Thank you for your prayers, support, and standing with us in faith.

REIGN OF GRACE

 I Peter 5: 5-12

“..All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’ Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast. To Him be the power for ever and ever. Amen……. I have written to you briefly, encouraging you and testifying that this is the *true grace of God. Stand fast in it.”

* bold and italics added

Here Peter speaks of the “true grace of God”. If we are to have abundant life experiencing the Kingdom and reaching out to influence others, we need to understand this grace. Walking in this grace involves:

  1. Submissive. We need a submissive heart to accomplish the mission God gives. A submissive heart to God and to one another. It is not about our agenda, but His agenda. God gives the grace to be submissive and to come together for Kingdom purpose.
  2. Humility. To walk in humility means that we look to God, and not our own strength, to meet our needs. God gives grace to lean on Him.
  3. Cast our cares. To walk in grace means to give our cares to Him. The cares of life choke out the word and make it unfruitful. God gives grace to cast our cares on Him so we may go forth and accomplish His purpose.
  4. To understand your enemy. When you attempt to walk out the Kingdom, you will experience resistance from the devil. By the divine enabling power of His grace, we may discern the devil’s work and resist.
  5. To remember that others are encountering the same sufferings. To use this grace is to know you are not alone. As we overcome in battle, our authority in Christ increases.
Peter wanted to encourage us by sharing concerning the “true grace of God” and what it means to walk in it.  May we all live in God’ grace. More grace God…..

 FAMILY UPDATE

  • Michelle and I ministered in Canton, MS. God moved mightily in the service.
  • Jacob and Abigail continue to prepare, learn, and be used of God at Ballet Magnificat.

  •  God continues to bless.

Pressing On

Dear Partners,

It is hard to believe that it has been a month since the last blog.  We want to thank you for your prayers and financial support!

REIGN OF GRACE
The word reign involves the idea of having dominion, sway, and influence to rule over an area.  In Romans 5:17, it says "....But even greater is God's wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who recieve it will live in triumph....... This verse refers to God's enabling grace to rule in victory over the various challenges of life. May God empower you with His wonderful grace this season.

FAMILY  UPDATE

We are all fine. In this past month, Samantha graduated from High School. We are so proud of her. Jacob continues with the NACD program with a goal of taking the GED.  He goes to Ballet Magnificat on a daily basis. Marcia has started 10th grade.  Also, she found a teacher for violin and has started playing again.  And, Abigail studies in the pace program for sixth grade. She has a goal to improve her studies and her technique in Ballet.

Michelle and I are so proud of our kids and enjoy watching them grow up and become more valuable to the Kingdom of God.

MINISTRY UPDATE

God continues to confirm our calling to ministry. We continue to look to the Lord for direction as to how to best fulfill our calling.  We  have sought employment here in MS to supplement the mission support we receive.  The doors for career change type employment have not opened.   We have been given many other opportunities to hone the gifts we do have.   So, we have been active in the local church here and also we have been doing odd jobs to supplement our mission support.  We have had many ups and downs and truly we can say that God has been seriously at work in us to will and to do according to HIS good purpose.  What a challenge!    But very worthwhile!   We look with joy to all the lies ahead for us!
Thank you for continuing to pray for us.   Blessings and Joy to you all!!

Trusting in Him

Hi! We love and appreciate you very much! Thank you for partnership with us at this time.

A REPORT ON THE PA/OH TRIP

Our trip to PA/OH proved a great time in the presence of God. We all got to know God better and had lots of fun. The theme focused around God`s beautiful creation. While I enjoyed the Pre-K class, Samantha served as main teacher for the Toddler program. Marcia assisted me in the Pre-K and Jacob and Abigail helped out where needed. Finally, Michelle helped build excitement in the opening and closing assemblies.

One of the most exciting nights for me happened on day three. Day three focused on presenting the Gospel message to the kids. As I shared the message of salvation through Jesus and the cross, the kids responded by praying the prayer of salvation. Several of the kids indicated they had prayed this prayer for the first time. PTL!!

On another evening, God worked a healing with one of the children who had a headache. After prayer, the child said she felt a little better and we all clapped and thanked God.

I want to thank you who supported us and prayed during this trip. God moved mightily. And, I look forward to seeing the Kingdom of God advance in a new way with the younger generation.

FAMILY

Recently, when praying together as a family, God gave us this verse from the Bible. The verse may be found in Ecclesiastes 5:19. It says, "Moreover, when God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work- this is a gift of God." You see, God has a good gift to give us. His heart remains to prosper us and to give us a good future and hope. But not only that, He wants to give us the power to enjoy the wealth and possessions  He gives to us. As we enjoy, accept, and rejoice in what God has appointed us to do, we advance the Kingdom of God and experience the abundant life He has prepared from before the foundation of the world.

Thank you for standing with us during this time and season. God wants to advance each of us in the direction of His Kingdom.

We pray God`s richest blessing on you!

BALLET MAGNIFICAT

Now, we are gearing up for a new season of ballet here at the Ballet Magnificat in Jackson, MS. As the tour companies head out, the School of the Arts begin registration, the workshops start, and the trainees settle for the fall session, please pray for the ministry to be blessed and give God glory. Especially, I would like to ask prayer for Jacob and Abigail. May they grow and learn, not only in the area of dance, but also in their walk and relationship with Christ.

SUPPORT NEEDS

Your prayer and financial partnership enables us to fulfill the call of God on our lives, as a family, even while living in Mississippi. Your partnership is greatly needed and appreciated. If you would like to become a partner with us, just contact us and let us know.

The Little Children and Jesus!

Dear Partners,

Hi! Thank you for standing with us as we witness the Lord moving mightily across Asia and in our lives in Mississippi.

THE LITTLE CHILDREN AND JESUS

We all look forward to heading north on Friday, August 3rd, to share the love of Jesus through the VBS program at Grace Fellowship Church of Titusville, PA.

You know, people brought little children to Jesus. In fact, the disciples rebuked the people for doing so, but, when Jesus saw this going on, He got angry and said, as recorded in the gospel of Mark 10:14, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these."

Jesus went in to present a truth: that to receive the Kingdom of God a person needs to be like a little child. A little child trusts, believes, humbles himself/herself, and innocently walks in obedience to his/her father or mother.

In Mark 10:16, Jesus went on to take "the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them."

I ask you to pray and give in support to us this week as we seek to be a blessing to the children who come to the GFC Church VBS program. Pray the heavens open and God`s presence and life will flow into each child. PTL!!

BALLET MAGNIFICAT - SUMMER INTENSIVE

I want to thank you for praying so that Jacob and Abigail could attend this years 2012 summer intensive. God blessed in unexpected ways!

As we attended the finale this past week, God allowed us to receive a harvest of what it means to believe and trust God with your children and the next generation of who God wants to raise up for Kingdom purposes.

Thank you and let`s believe God in the days to come!

FAMILY UPDATE

We, as a family, look to see family and friends as we head to PA/OH. Samantha continues to finish her High School program and prepare to graduate. Marcia continues on as usual and will be starting 10th grade soon.

Michelle and I sense God`s hand in our way. We count on your prayers and believe God with you for harvest on every seed sown into us and this Reign of Grace Ministries. THANK YOU!

Reign of Grace!

Dear Partners,

Hi! we love and appreciate you very much!

In Acts 13:47 it says, "For this is what the Lord has commanded us: `I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.`"

The Lord is moving mightily across Asia and in our lives in Mississippi.

BALLET MAGNIFICAT - SUMMER INTENSIVE

The summer intensive 2012 at Ballet Magnificat has enjoyed a great first two weeks. Jake finds himself at the half-way point of his four week program in the pre-professional level.

And, we are so proud and excited to announce that Abigail has joined the intensive for the final two weeks. As you may recall, a student may come for two weeks or four weeks. She has joined a brand new group of kids and we know and believe that she will not only learn more of the dance, but also grow in her relationship with the Lord.

Thank you for standing with us for Jake and Abigail!

VISIT TO PA/OH

At the beginning of August, we all look forward to heading north to see family and friends and share the Love of Christ through the VBS program at Grace Fellowship Church of Titusville. Pastor Phil at GFC has shared with us that he anticipates a good turn out and we so look forward to the opportunity.

Michelle and I sense God ordering our steps in this way and know we can count on your prayers for us as we go.

MISSION OUTREACH - JAPAN

Mark 16:15 says, "He said to them, `Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation.`"

As we wait on Him to receive new and fresh power "from on high", we continue to connect and believe for missionaries serving God`s Kingdom in Japan and Asia.

We personally sense that God is about ready to burst forth in Asia with fresh revelation, new alignment, new assignments, and greater vision resulting  in further Kingdom advancement.

Even Michelle and I are sensing the leading of the Holy Spirit to visit Japan sometime this fall. We not only have need to renew our re-entry permits and keep up our permanent residences, but also we need to experience what God is doing in this nation of our calling.

Our hope and desire remains that we all as a family may be able to travel over and spend about two weeks. We continue to wait on Him and see the ordering of our steps in this area.

This remains a bold and adventurous challenge for us, but we know God is able.

ISAIAH 52: 7 "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of these who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, `Your God reigns.`"

PSALMS 96:3, "Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the people."

Do you want to help bring the Gospel?

You can play an important role in bringing the Kingdom to Japan and Asia. Your partnership allows us to fulfill our call to Japan/Asia.

Thank you for your incredible love, prayers, and support! We love and thank God for you.

Together we do make a difference!

Monday, July 2, 2012

Dear Partners,

It has been just about one year (already) since we relocated to Mississippi.  We are so thankful for each of you and your generous support, prayer and words of encouragement on the way.  Each of the kids have had a successful year of school.  Samantha will be graduating in a few weeks and is looking forward to the start of new things.  Jake is at the Ballet Magnificat Summer Intensive for the month of July.  Many many thanks to everyone who has given towards his time there.  We so appreciate your love gifts and prayers for him.  Marcia and Abigail continue to work hard on Japanese summer homework and look forward to spending time in Ohio and Pa later on in August.

Did you ever go to VBS?  I remember VBS as a very special time in the summer to get to know the LORD more and to see God move in other kids lives.  We are looking forward to a special time in Titusville for a very special VBS!  We will be helping out Titusville Grace Fellowship with a great VBS program, August 5th to the 9th.  Join us in prayer for the transformation of children's lives and even for those who will meet the LORD for the first time ever!  We are excited about this time up in PA!  We hope to see lots of you while we are there!

From Michelle.... I am doing fine.  These days have been exciting as I have had more opportunities than usual to pray and prophecy for people.  I have been challenged to press in to the LORD more and as a result,  more doors have opened for prayer and giving an encouraging word.  God is SO good!!  Ephesians 2:10,  "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

MESSAGE

Have you been longing for a deeper more intimate walk with the Father?

Recently, we have enjoyed watching the old classic sit-com "Father knows best" on Netflix. Our loving Heavenly Father cares, loves, and knows exactly what is best for us. And, when we put our trust in Him, we may truly experience abundant love from Him.

My prayer for you today remains that you will experience the love of God in a fresh, greater, more heart-felt way than ever before.

More specifically, God has been leading me to focus on several areas during this time.

  • Honoring and Glorifying Him - No matter what the circumstances, God wants us to worship, praise, and celebrate what He has done for us at the cross. Praise changes the atmosphere!
  • Declare His promises - You know, life and death are in the power of the tongue. When we speak forth His promises, God arises in our midst and brings breakthrough.
  • Wisdom and Counsel - When we seek His wisdom, He reveals the "how to" of how to fulfill His calling on our lives. Also, the Bible says that in the multitude of counsellors there is victory in war. In the same way, we need to seek counsel from those God has placed in our lives.
  • The Word - We constantly need to be washed by the "Word of God". Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. As we saturate ourselves with the Word, we grow in faith and see the enemy defeated.
May God refresh our hearts and renew our call in this season!

The Blessing of the Father!

Dear Partners,

Hi! I thank God for the presence of His Holy Spirit! His perfect love casts out all fear. Greater is He that is in us than He that is in the world!

In Psalms 37: 25, 26 it says, "I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging for bread. They are always generous and lend freely; their children will be blessed."

Let`s rejoice in the promise that our "seed" (children) are blessed.

BALLET MAGNIFICAT

I thank God for the opportunity Jacob has to participate in this year`s summer intensive with Ballet Magnificat! The intensive begins on June 30th and runs through July. And, you can all imagine the excitement Jake has for this event.

The summer intensive brings hundreds of students from around the world to develop their potential as dancers and seek God for direction in their lives.

Pray for Jake that he will encounter the Lord in a fresh, new way  and understand more of who he is in Christ!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - AUGUST 5-9

We look forward to traveling to PA and OH in August to see family and friends. This year we will join with GFC Church in Titusville to put on a vacation Bible school from August 5th to the 9th. As we read in the Word above, the seed (children) of the righteous are blessed. Let`s believe for an amazing outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the younger generation.

PRAYER FOCUS: THAILAND

Thailand remains a beautiful fertile land bordering on Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, and Malaysia. While indigenous leadership continues to be raised up by the hand of God, we need to pray for the many areas of the country that still needs a witness of the gospel. Also, this nation remains very strategic in the area of child-trafficking. Michelle visited this nation some years ago and we look forward to what God may have in store for this place. Please pray.

A Heavenly Eternal Kingdom!

Daniel 7:27 says, "Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be handed over to the saints, the people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him."

Dear Partners,

Thank you for your ongoing support!

The Kingdom will be filled with people of every race, tribe, people, and tongue. Through Christ, we have a share in this rule and reign of God. At times, we may feel the wait and pressure of the onslaught of the enemy coming on us. But, we need to see from the throne room down on the earth, with Christ, exercising the authority God gave us to fulfill the Great Commission! May we gain a fresh, new world vision and rise up in intercession for the inheritance of the nations!

Prayer changes people, situations, and the course of history! Lord, we call the nations back to You!!!!

PRAYER FOCUS: CAMBODIA

In answer to prayer, God continues to move mightily in Cambodia resulting in unprecedented and unexpected growth over the last 20 years. However, much spiritual darkness persists. Let`s be in intercession for the following:

1. Gripping poverty
2. An Increase in apostolic and prophetic ministry in the churches.
3. Children at Risk. Child Labor. Sex trade. Homeless children.
4. Drug and Abuse

I thank God for fresh strategy being released over this nation. Just this past week, God connected for new opportunity in this nation. Please pray as we seek God for further advancement in this place.

FAMILY UPDATE

All is well! Michelle and I love representing you while here in Mississippi. Samantha teaches at the Japanese Supplementary School. Meanwhile, Marcia and Abigail attend the Japanese school on Saturday mornings. This month, Michelle and I are responsible to assist (toban) each Saturday. Please pray for God`s presence to touch the Japanese in MS.

Also, please pray for Jacob! He will start the Summer Intensive at Ballet Magnificat this month. We are excited to see how God will move in his heart and life. He still needs support for his room and board. Please ask God to fill this need.

Thank you for your financial support as we seek to fulfill God`s call on our life here in MS.

PARTNER INFORMATION

We are so thankful to God for you partners! We appreciate your giving and stand with you for the rewards of blessing in your life.

JAKE - 2012 Summer Dance Intensive!

Hi! Thank you for your prayers and support!

PRAYER FOR THE NATIONS

Someone once said, "When man works, man works; When man prays, God works."

Psalms 2 says, Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron, and dash them in pieces like a potter`s vessel."

God spoke these words to His Son Jesus concerning the nations as an inheritance.

Through prayer, we may know God`s heart and see His strategies released for the nations of the earth. Our vision remains to be a ministry committed to communicating the love of Jesus and the heart of the Father and His prophetic voice.

The kids are all working hard to finish up their various school year.  We are doing everything we can to get Jake ready for the Ballet Mag summer intensive.  And,  more than anything,  we are seeking God's heart and His kingdom.  The nations are on His heart.

Please pray for us as we seek to fulfill God`s call on our life for missions here in Mississippi.

PRAYER FOCUS: JAPAN

Japan remains one of the least-reached nations with less than 2% Christian. Please pray for:

1. Greater Spiritual openness.
2. House churches to start and flourish.
3. Spiritual leaders renewed, revived, united in vision, and readied for advancement.
4. Christian marketplace leaders to be raised up.

BALLET MAGNIFICAT - JAKE GULLAND

Psalms 34:3 "Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together."

Thank you for standing with us! God helps our son Jacob. While studying with the National Association of Child Development (NACD) home school program, he faithfully and passionately pursues his love for dance at Ballet Magnificat in Jackson, MS.

This intensive will be Jake`s 4th one to attend. The professional tour groups "Alpha" and "Omega" will guide Jake, and the group, to develop their potential and seek God`s direction for their lives.

The Gift Our Father Promised

Hi! Greetings in the name of the Lord! Thank you for your prayers and support. We love and appreciate you very much!

BALLET MAGNIFICAT - SUMMER INTENSIVE

This intensive will be Jakes`s fourth. This always proves to be a great spiritual highlight for him. He has been changed in some way each time he participates. Pray for him and this intensive. Your continued prayer support really makes a difference in Jake and for His Kingdom sake.

Provision for Jake`s room and board is still needed. If you would like to invest in his future, you can give to our AIM account, but, please include a note saying it is for Jake. Thanks!

TRIP TO PA/OHIO

I thank God for the opportunity I had to join Michelle and kids for a quick trip to PA/OH. As you know, the kids get their braces adjusted by my brother, Dr. Gulland, who lives in Hermitage. We also enjoyed spending much needed time with our parents and family. Finally, we had an awesome time with Phil and Alexa Taylor; pastors of GFC in Titusville. we would have loved to have seen all of you PA and OH friends, we had one day in PA, one day in Ohio and four travel days (two each way). Thanks for standing with us!

NATION IMPACT

Your partnership allows us to fulfill God`s call on our family to Japan and Asia. While relocating to MS to help meet needs of our kids, especially Jacob, God has opened doors to meet Japanese people. and to have gone on two mission trips to Cambodia and the Philippines.

While in the Philippines,  I felt impressed for the need to increase intercession and prayer for the nations. I thank God for what He has accomplished and pray new doors, opportunities, and strategy will come forth in the days ahead.

PENTECOST - THE HOLY SPIRIT

As we approach Pentecost Sunday, God wants to show His love and give us a deeper revelation of the Holy Spirit. For most of us, we have only seen Pentecost in light of the religious church we have been raised in. But God, in these last days has been renewing a fresh revelation of this very important time and been showing us how it relates in the Hebraic calendar.

AS we wait on Him, He wants to empower us to walk intimately with Him; moving forward into greater Kingdom purpose. Did you know there remained a time of 50 days between the resurrection and the giving of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost? Jesus told the disciples to not leave Jerusalem and wait for the gift God the Father promised. (Acts 1:4)

You know, the disciples waited, not knowing what to wait for or how they were to wait. They did not know what to expect. Yet, as they waited on what Jesus had said, the disciples proved their trust in Him.

Waiting provides a great opportunity and time for God to work supernaturally in our situations. God is a miracle working God! AS we wait on Him, we may experience His power in our lives.

Remember, waiting is not wasted time. James 1:4 says that we need to let patience have its perfect work. Just think if the disciples had gone ahead with their plans without waiting on Him. They would have robbed God of the opportunity to give them power to release miracles and see the work of the Holy Spirit. Let`s put our trust in Him, wait, and allow the power of the Spirit to work in our lives in a fresh way this Pentecost season!

GET INVOLVED

There remains many ways to get involved with the journey God has us on. Here are some ways:

1. By prayer
2. By giving
3. By joining the blog
4. By email or Facebook

MISSION REPORT

Dear Partners,

How are you? We love and miss you very much! Thank you for standing with us as we seek to be a part of advancing the Kingdom of God!

PHILIPPINE MISSION TRIP REPORT

The Philippine Medical/Dental mission trip proved a great time in the presence of God. About 2,000 people heard the gospel and received much needed medical and dental assistance. Some say as many as half the people raised their hand to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! PTL!

As for me, a dentist taught me how to pull teeth. And, I got to pull my very first one on this trip.

Also, I chose to work in the “Children Evangelism” area. It was a great joy seeing children receive Jesus into their heart. What a blessing!

SAMANTHA`S VISIT

Samantha also had an amazing time with friends at Faith Academy; located in the Metro-Manila area of the Philippines. As many of you know, she spent her freshman year of High School there. It is hard to believe she will soon be graduating.

GENTLE HANDS

Perhaps one of the most exciting parts of the trip involved our time at the “Gentle Hands” shelter for children. As I learned more about this ministry, Samantha and I had a great time playing with the kids.

God stirred my vision anew for creating a “Presence Place” for the next generation!

REFLECTIONS

Although this trip proved a great time in the presence of God, it did not come without a price. Many people on the team fell sick themselves while reaching out to the sick and needy. For me, I did not get sick, yet, my kids did experience sickness while I was away.

And, speaking of being away, I was not able to work for that two week period. So, I have really had to trust God to meet all expenses and make up the difference for my absence.

But, all I want to say is this: God is Faithful! And, I am reminded that we have a real enemy that wants to hinder the cause of the Kingdom of God through sickness and choking off the finances.

I am telling you (and I think you can agree with me too) that anytime you attempt to obey God, the devil stands right at the door waiting to steal the blessing!

Well, I am not going to sit around and just take it from the devil anymore! Through the blood of Jesus, I say,  “Devil, you take your hands off our bodies and our finances”. I declare “more than enough” in Jesus name!

And, I speak His love and power over you, your seed, your family, and your finances in Jesus name too! You are a Blessing!

PARTNER APPRECIATION

Yes, I want to personally thank you, our partners, for your ongoing support and commitment that enables us to reach out in this way.

Your monthly support really makes a difference! Thank you!

KINGDOM NEED

BALLET MAGNIFICAT – SUMMER INTENSIVE

This will be the fourth time for Jacob to attend! This has always proved to be a life changing experience personally and spiritually.

He needs to raise about $1,600 for tuition and room & board. If you would like to sow into this summer experience, it would really make a difference in Jakes life.

This payment is due May 15th!

GOD`S GLORY

2 Corinthians 3:18 says, “But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, The Spirit. (WEB)

May we look into the glory of the Father and be transformed more and more into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit!

God`s Loving Heart (An Update)

Dear Partners, Prayer Warriors, and Friends,

Greetings from us to you!

We love and miss you very much. Thank you for standing with us in prayer and support!

God remains so faithful. This past Sunday, God used Abigail and the Mini-Mag group from Ballet Magnificat in a strong way. They performed at Christ Life Church of the Highlands; the churdh we attend while in MS. After mini-mag performed, the "Alpha" group, from Ballet Magnificat, performed " The Arrival ". What a powerful time in the presence of God.

Please pray for Abigail and Jake as they continue to share Jesus and the Kingdom through the dance. Also, pray for the "Alpha" team of Ballet Magnificat as they soon will go to ASIA (Korea, China, Philippines, etc) to share the great love of God to the Asian people.

PHILIPPINES MEDICAL MISSION APRIL 13-26

And, speaking of ASIA, our preparations for our medical mission trip to the Philippines continues to progress:

  • The tickets are purchased for Samantha and I.
  • The initial deposit for the Medical Mission has been sent on ahead

Just a note* Additional support to cover the entire cost of the tickets and in-country costs are needed. Please pray about what you might be able to give toward this effort. It is not too late.

God is faithful! Thank you for believing with us for the entire amount as we look to share the Gospel of the Good News of Jesus Christ in the Philippines.

FAMILY

Also, Pray for Marcia and Abigail, as they will begin to attend the Japan Supplemental School of Mississippi. The opening ceremonies begin on April 14th; the day after Samantha and I leave. I really believe this school to be a very timely opportunity to keep up their Japanese language and culture studies.

Last, but not least, remember Michelle as she will need to have all the strength and wisdom to keep it all together. I want to thank her for encouraging Samantha and I to go on this mission.

GOD`S LOVING HEART

In the book of Luke 11:11-13, it says, "Which of you Fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or, if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven, give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

Although I have read this passage many times, God made these word come alive in a new way! Jesus encourages us to ask, seek, and knock promising that we will receive, find, and have doors opened. And, God desires to give us the greatest gift of all; the gift of Himself. You see, if we receive this greatest gift of the Holy Spirit, we know we have all we need for life and abundant living. He wants to give us Himself because in Himself we have access to everything else we would ever need. May we understand His loving heart toward us in a fresh way today!

PARTNERSHIP

If you are not a monthly partner with us, I would like invite you to become one. To become a partner is to join together in the Global Harvest of souls for the Kingdom of God in MS, the USA, and Asia. Your gift of any amount really makes a difference. Would you become a partner today?

Remember, praying, giving, and going all play an important part in the world-wide effort to make disciples of all nations.

Thank You!

Rejoice! (An Update)

Dear Partners, Prayer Warriors, and Friends,

LUKE 10: 17-20
“The seventy-two returned with joy and said, `Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.`” `He replied, `I saw Satan fall like lightening from heaven, I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.`”

I love this passage! Here we have the disciples, after having been sent out by Jesus, come back and report their surprise and delight in having received authority to cast out demons and overcome the enemy. Jesus affirms them by sharing how He saw Satan fall like lightening. However, He continued by adding a big “but”. Jesus said they were not to rejoice in that, but to rejoice in the fact that our names are written in heaven. Wow! Wow! Whoa!

We are so often wowed by the great manifestations of Gods power, yet may we get a revelation of how awesome it is to be born into an everlasting Kingdom as a part of a great family. When we get grounded in the Fathers heart through our relationship with Him in Jesus Christ, we will not follow the signs, but the signs will follow us!

GREETING

I thank God for each one of you. We love and appreciate you very much! Your partnership makes a difference.

FAMILY

Michelle and all the kids just got back from visiting OH/PA. Not only did they have a wonderful time seeing friends and family, but also, they were able to get their braces checked by my brother “Dr. G.” Chuck. Thank you Chuck for providing this great blessing to us. And, I want to thank those who partner with us as we keep our eyes on Asia from MS.

THE KIDS

I am so proud of our children. The Japanese school year finished for Samantha. She teaches at the Mississippi State Japanese Supplemental School located in Jackson. She will continue to teach as the new school year begins in April.

And, I am happy to say that Marcia and Abigail will be joining the school in April. So, by attending this Saturday only Japanese school, they will all have opportunity to speak and learn in Japanese. Wow! Who would have imagined there would be a Japanese school in Mississippi.

Ballet Magnificat! (Jake)

Meanwhile, Jake, as you all know, continues to attend Ballet Magnificat! Recently, the group ministered and performed in the Jackson area. I thank God for Jake and his contribution in sharing the Gospel message through the dance.  He has been accepted into the Summer Intensive Program.  He is really looking forward to this.

M&M

As for Michelle and I, we continue to do what we can to make ends meet while believing God for the next steps in the mission ministry. Although not without trial and stress at times, I thank God for His perfect timing in all areas. Meanwhile, I choose to get the most out of this season in Him.

PHILIPPINES 2012

Although it has proven difficult to raise proper support for this trip, we have, in faith, decided to start the process of ordering tickets. In addition, we have also sent along a portion of the in country costs to those organizing this outreach in Asia.

God already knows all the support needs we have to take this outreach. If you feel God leading you to help with this final push, I need to hear from you now. Feel free to email and let us know of your support. (markgulland@gmail.com)

PRAY FOR US

Pray For….

  1. More of Him
  2. More clarity of direction
  3. Increased monthly partners
  4. Health, Protection, Finances, etc. for this medical and dental mission to the Philippines
