Thank you for 2015! Moving into 2016!

Dear Friends and Partners,

Romans 15:13  (NLT)  I pray that God, the source of HOPE, will fill you completely with JOY and PEACE because you TRUST in HIM. Then you will OVERFLOW with confident HOPE through the POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT.

I believe that this is the going to be the theme of 2016!  This is a JUBILEE year and it will prove to be a season of JOY!! And of seeing miracles in many lives!  This scripture is so packed with truth of the KINGDOM.  Take this Word as your own and walk in it!

GENTLE HANDS OFFERING

I want to thank those of you who participated in this offering to the ministry of Gentle Hands that serves orphaned and needy children in the Philippines. The kids are just beautiful there and it is an awesome place!

MIRACLES IN 2015

Thank you for standing with us in 2015. We have seen many miracles. In July, Michelle made a visit to Japan to take care of our things we had in storage.  Following that, we saw God open up an opportunity for us to become home owners in Mississippi. Each step of the way proved quite miraculous as all we could do was lay at His feet and observe Him move us through the process. We have not only begun to enjoy more room for ourselves, but also we have been able to host our "International Life Group" in our new home and thank God for this blessing.  We even had a young Japanese girl (here with her parents who work at Nissan) receive Jesus into her heart over Thanksgiving time.  Woohoo!!  That is what we are here for!!!

Also, in 2015, Samantha and Marcia started as freshmen at Belhaven University here in Jackson. Believe me, this is a miracle,  as we had no idea how this would come together. However, God, in His goodness, made a way when there seemed to be no other way. Samantha is an Art major and Marcie is pursuing nursing and a music minor.  In addition, Micah continues to be a part of the trainee program at Ballet Magnificat! And, Abigail, not knowing what we were going to do for her schooling, was shown great favor to attend the local high school in the neighborhood we moved into. Moving into 2016, we have expectancy for increased favor for each of our children. But, I thank God for His blessing of provision to us in 2015.

Finally, just before Christmas, another miracle occurred. After quite a lengthy vetting process, I was offered an opportunity at Nissan to become an official Nissan employee rather than just an interpreter of Japanese contracted into Nissan to assist Japanese teams. Although I will continue to translate Japanese as needed, I will join the Quality Control department as a supervisor of production and look forward to what new opportunities this might open up for marketplace ministry and to future connections to Japan.

PRAYER NEEDS: MOVING AHEAD IN 2016

  • Micah is going to Mexico again! He will need many to pray for him, as well as, support him financially (needs roughly $500.00).
  • Our life group has been taking a break for the holidays. Please pray for us as we look for ways to connect more with each person who comes as well as gather more people.

THANK YOU FOR STANDING WITH US!

I want to thank you for standing with us in 2015. Your prayers and support have made a great difference in not only getting the needs of our family met, but also in fulfilling the call of God on our lives to reach the Japanese and remember the needy children in the world both in the Dominican Republic and the Philippines. Also, thank you for supporting Michelle's trip to Japan.  God is so good to open doors for us!  Many blessings to you as you move forward in Lord!!

Please make out checks to "Antioch International Ministries" and designate on a separate piece of paper that your gift goes to "Mark and Michelle Gulland". Remember, we receive 100% of all gifts given. Thank you.

A Cheerful Giver!

II Corinthians 10: 8 "And God will generously provide all you need. The. You will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. As the scriptures say "They share freely and give generously to the poor ....

Greetings in the name of the Lord! As many of you know, we are asking you to please join us in sending a Christmas offering to Gentle Hands in the Philippines.

Gentle Hands has a vision to be a center for rescue and healing of marginalized children in crisis. Their mission is to provide family-centered care and hope for children who have experienced trauma.

They really are in need of funds and we really want to bless them. If we all have $100 dollars from what we would normally spend at Christmas, we could send a significant offering. Some of you could give much more than that. We want to combine all that comes in and send it along sometime around the the 15th of the month of December.

Please make out checks to "Antioch International Ministries" and designate on a separate piece of paper that your gift goes to "Mark and Michelle Gulland- Gentle Hands".

Here is the address:

If you want to give a gift directly to us, contact us at:

Meanwhile, we are praying, studying, and seeking God about how we might activate our calling next year. Micah will be traveling to Mexico in the Spring with Ballet Magnificat. We have received invitations to visit and minister in Japan and Ghana, Africa. And, we are in our second month of our "International Life Group". We can not despise small beginnings and trust Him to prosper us so we may reach others. We need a strategy to activate for 2016. Please pray for us.

We would love to hear from you!

Love,
Mark & Michelle (M &M)

Expanding in God's Assignment!

Greetings in the name of Jesus! Thank you for your prayers and support!

We have so many wonderful things to report! Samantha and Marcia have started at Belhaven University as freshmen. Jacob (Micah) has started his second year of the Trainee program at Ballet Magnificat! And, Abigail got into Germantown High School as a nineth grader.

You see, as many of you know, Michelle travelled back to Japan this past summer. We really felt the Lord telling us that it was time for us to take care of our stuff in Japan. The Lord told us that as we simplified and got things in order, that He was preparing us for new things.

Michelle had an awesome time in Japan! And, relationships there are better than ever. Yet, for the first time in a long time, we are all in one place! And, we are so excited about what God has prepared for us. In fact, we believe we have entered into a season of expansion in our assignment here in Mississippi:

1. Home ownership. Yes, God has expanded our borders by giving us the opportunity to purchase a home. By settling in on a piece of land here, we believe God is expanding our assignment in such a way that God will not use us to bring forth the Kingdom in a greater way here, but will also allow us to establish a base that will open a road to the nations.

2. The creation of an International "Life Group". Yes, we have started this group with the vision that it will turn into an International Fellowship of believers. At our first meeting, we had representation from three countries other than the USA; Vietnam, Malaysia, and Japan. We started by discussing which God we are going to learn about. Of course, He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords; Jesus!
Please pray for us as we continue in this expansion of assignment.

Christmas offering

Finally, As we sense God expanding us in our assignment, we would like to use the Reign of Grace ministries mission to raise an offering for Gentle Hands in the Philippines. Gentle Hands is an orphanage located on the outskirts of Manila. They take in all orphans including sibling sets and special needs children. We have visited several times and I know this ministry work to be effective and worthy of our seed offering. We are believing to send an offering at Chritmas time and welcome your giving to this work. More details later.

As always, we would like to hear from you. Our new address is: 113 Bradfield Road, Madison,
Mississippi 39110.

Blessings to you!

Be Strong in the Lord!

II Samuel 22:30
"In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall."

David spoke these words of praise, on the day when God delivered him from his enemies; especially from the hand of Saul. When God showed up and met Davids`s need, He brought strength. You know, one person should not be able to battle a troop, or be able to leap a wall that protects a city. Yet, God has a resource of power (His might), given to us through the Holy Spirit, and makes that available to us by faith!

David knew the principle of Ephesians 6:10 "... Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power." Remember, we don`t need to be strong in our own might but in His might. God said, "my grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness." The Apostle Paul shared how he had learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full strength or empty, with plenty or little. "For I can do everything through Christ, who gives strength."

Here are some ways to find strength in the Lord:

1. Wait on the Lord (Is. 40:31)
2. Call on the Lord (Ps. 138:3)
3. Believe in His promises.
4. Turn from sin (Ps. 31:10)
5. Draw near to God (Ps. 105:4)
6. Be of good courage (Ps. 27:14)

As we find strength in the Lord, God wants us to help others find that same strength. Others around us are passing through difficult situations. We can be the ones that help someone else find strength from the Lord. May we be used as God`s instruments, to bring His strength to those that need it.

JAPAN REPORT (From Michelle)

I had a sudden, but awesome, trip back home to Japan. I was able to meet so many people in such a short time!

The Sendai church (the one we started) is growing strong! Sano Church and school is doing well, too! God is so good and so very faithful. I also got to spend time with my sister Teddy and see the beautiful  Yarn Alive house! It is awesome!! Meeting with her knitting ladies was so much fun!

I was able to bring Nene Tsukada (14) back with me. She participated in the Ballet Magnificat Summer Intensive with Abbie. We are hoping she will be able to come and stay with us for the school year and continue ballet school here in the USA.

NOTE: CHECK OUT MICHELLE`S FB PAGE FOR PICTURES!!

Finally, before the Japan trip, I went with the kids to Ohio and PA. Visiting my parents and family at a graduation party for Marcia was a highlight. Getting to attend the wedding of Alex Kennedy was also really special!

Fellowshipping  with everyone at GFC was the BEST!! There is no place like home! Thanks everybody!!

GOING FORWARD......

My family and I are now coming to the end of our fourth year here in Mississippi. The Lord has been so faithful! He is doing wonderful things and I know that He will continue to be faithful to finish the good work He has started in us.

God, in His amazing grace, is stirring me to begin sharing fresh revelation that He has placed in my heart.

These words include such topics as:
1. The "Love of the Father"
2. The Orphan heart vs. Sonship
3. Your companion, the Holy Spirit
4. Hearing the voice of God & ministering spiritual gifts
5. The Kingdom principle of increase

If any of these topics fit with the vision and direction of your work and/or ministry, I would be excited about the opportunity to serve and minister the Kingdom to impart the spiritual gift`s God has for you.

I would love to discuss this further with you. Please let me know.

We love and appreciate you very much! Thank you for standing with us here! We love representing you in the purposes of the Kingdom.

Blessed Assurance!

Dear Friends,

Thank you for standing with us! Keith Thibodeaux, Executive Director of Ballet Magnificat, drummer for David and the Giants, and former "little Ricky" on the show "I Love Lucy" shared these words of encouragement from the book of Psalms. It says,

"Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, that walk in His ways. You will eat of the labor of your own hands, and happy shall thou be. And it shall go well with you! Your wife shall be as a fruitful vine along the sides of thine house and thy children like olive shoots around about thy table.
Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord. the Lord will bless you out of Zion, and thou will see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life. Yes, thou shalt see thy children`s children, and peace upon Israel."

JAPAN

Thank you for your prayers. Michelle has made it to Japan. She will be attending to some business affairs related to our cabin at TBC in Shichigahama, Japan. Also, while there, she will reconnect with dear friends and have many opportunities for ministry. Please pray for her travel and for all that she has to do there and for ease in getting it done.

She will be returning on July 7th. When she does, she will be returning with a Japanese girl who will attend ballet camp and stay with us in Mississippi. The kids are so excited to have Nene-chan come to be with us. We believe God will do a good work in her heart as she attends Ballet Magnificat`s Summer Intensive 2015.

PRAY FOR:

1. Finances to come in quickly to cover so many things both here and there.
2. Mark, me, and the kids during Michelle`s absence.

If God Be For Us!

"What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?" Romans 8:31

Dear Friends,

Than you for your prayers and financial support! Your one-time gift, or monthly support, makes a real difference!

Here is an update:

MEXICO TRIP

As we were preparing for Jake`s (Micah`s) first international tour, I wondered how it would go, and mostly, I wondered who would be hosting him & the group. Just a day or two before the trip, I received a call from my sister, Teddy Sawka, in Japan! She said she had an email from her friend in Mexico of how excited she was to be hosting a ballet group from MS in Mexico! My sister was so surprised!! She explained that her nephew Jacob Micah was going to Mexico! Is it the same group??? Yes!!! The friend in Mexico, LoV-lazqz, knows my sister from her two year trip to Japan where she went to work with Samaritan Purse after the Tsunami. Lo is not only a friend of my sister, but she also knows manhy of our friends in Japan; especially in Sendai! She even speaks some Japanese! Jake felt right at home in Mexico!!

So, God answered my prayers by giving an amazing connection for the Mexico trip for Jacob! He had an awesome time! People got saved and all were touched by the powerful presence of God through the performances. Jake would love to go there again! Thank you for your prayers and support! -- Michelle

JAPAN TRIP

We are expecting and starting preparation for a trip to Japan. We look to this summer as the time to go. Your prayers mean so much.

It has been five years since we left for an extended furlough in the U.S. God has kept us connected to Japan here in MS through the Japanese interpretation work at Nissan. We also have been able to get to know other Japanese families here in Mississippi.

We hope to visit with as many friends as we can and minister in Churches that we connect with there. We also need to check on our household items being stored in our cabin at TBC by the ocean.

Please pray for us as we look to move forward in this way. Pray for the funds to come in. Thank God with us for His provision and that everything will proceed quickly. See below for details about how you can sow and give your gift. Thanks.

GRADUATION - MARCIA

Michelle and I are so proud of Marcie who will be graduating from High School this summer. She has been accepted to Oral Roberts University and plans to study nursing & music. She is such a blessing. Please pray for us as she moves forward in what God is doing in her life.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

I thank God for the door that opened to travel to Saniago, Dominican Republic.  I traveled with Apostle John Bowers (Erie, PA) and Pastors Mark and Nancy Galamos from Ohio.  We met up with Leo and Cheryln Perez, the beautiful missionary family, living there.  We visited several churches and shared on "Manifesting the Kingdom".  God's presence was everywhere present as we ministered in each place.

I was also given the opportunity to be a guest teacher at the church school there.  Although I taught Japanese language at the school,  I was also able to influence the children for Jesus and the Kingdom.

Finally, I want to make a special note of the opportunity we had to travel to a children's hospital in Santiago.  With a person from the administration of the hospital,  we went room to room and patient to patient.  We gave out gifts of diapers and hygiene items to the mothers.  We also gave out Bibles to the mothers.  We laid hands on and prayed for them.  Father God's healing presence was there and all received from Him.  It was truly a wonderful time!  Thank you for praying and giving into this trip!

Ambassador`s for Christ

"So we are Christ`s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, `Come back to God!` For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ" II Corinthians 5: 20-21

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your prayers and support of us here in Mississippi!

MEXICO - April 27th - May 4th

As you know, The trainees, at Ballet Magnificat, have been praying earnestly for the finances to come in for their outreach trip to Mexico. Jake too, as a member of the team, did not even know if he would be able to participate in the trip due to the financial commitment. Jake was so surprised and relieved when he saw the funds come in!  He said, "Wow!!, Now I have to GO!!".  :)

Thanks to everyone who gave, his trip is fully funded! Thank you very much for giving.

Please pray as he flies out with the team on Monday, April 27th, to Villahermosa, Mexico. Just last Saturday, the team met to discuss itinerary, luggage assignments, and other important details. They need covered in prayer as they work with local sponsors to share the Gospel through the art of dance.

MISSISSIPPI OUTREACH

We have several guys returning to Japan after fulfilling their assignments at Nissan. As many of you know, I am contracted into Nissan as an American interpreter of Japanese. I thank God for this opportunity to serve in this way and have had many chances to share while working.

Recently, we put on a Japanese Curry Party at the local Church we attend. Before enjoying a great plate of Japanese curry, I had the the opportunity to share a prayer with the gentlemen and bless them as they go in the name of Jesus Christ.

Please pray for us as we continue to reach the Japanese from our place here in MS.

EXCITING NEWS

A door has opened to travel to Santiago, the Dominican Republic. I have been invited to go with a small team from the USA. We will be visiting Churches and putting on a conference entitled "Manifesting the Kingdom"! The dates are April 24th to May 1st. If you could sow a seed toward this effort, I believe this is good soil and will bring harvest in your situation.

Thank you for letting me share with you about this ministry trip. Michelle and I appreciate you very much. And, as an interesting side note, when I was looking up information on D.R., I found out the least unreached people group on this Island nation is the Japanese community. Although we have no plan to minister in the Japanese community there, you never know what God can do. PTL!

Thank you for praying!

FAMILY

Meanwhile,  our family keeps growing up!  Marcie will finish high school very soon.  She is excited about entering college in the Fall.  Abbie keeps putting her best foot forward in the dance school here!! She has the part as the nightingale in the Spring recital!!  That is a great honor for her and exciting for mom, too,  as mom gets to make the costume!!  Jake will be the emperor in the story.  He never tires of his stage life!  This ballet is a new one made here at Ballet Magnificat about how the emperor is set free by the nightingale!  Samantha is working hard and is very involved in the worship and young adult group at the local church here.

Salvation is for Everyone!

Dear Friends,

"But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him?And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go can tell them without being sent?..." Romans 10:14-15

I want to thank you for your prayers and support for us here in Mississippi. God continues to give so many opportunities to share the gospel while interpreting at Nissan or serving at Ballet Magnificat!

Jacob and Abigail have had much opportunity to perform and share the love of God. And, just the other day, a Japanese worker at Nissan prayed the sinners prayer. Even yesterday, after a gentleman worked on fixing Samantha`s car, an opportunity to pray came forth and the man opened his heart to God in a new way! PTL!

In this, what many would say, is the "least"of the States in America, God continues to show His faithfulness in so many ways.

Thank you for praying and giving as you can!

MEXICO - April 21- 5/3

Please pray for Jacob as he will join Ballet Magnificat Events Company International Tour to Mexico on the 24th of April. He will be a part of the team shining the hope of the Gospel through the art of dance. They will be working with  local sponsors to make impact for God`s glory powerful and effective.

He already has about half of the $900 he needs for the trip. As you well know Ballet Magnificat is a non-profit organization and your donation is tax-deductible. Please write a check to Ballet Magnificat and place "Events" on the memo line. Then, you can give to Jacob specifically by designating on a separate piece of paper that your support goes 100% to for him.

As you pray about giving to Jacob, would you please lift us up in prayer? Thank you and may the Lord Jesus bless you in a very special way!
