Knowing God as your Father

Dear Partners, Warriors, Friends,

Hi! Thank you for standing with us in prayer and financial support!

KNOWING GOD AS FATHER

God loves us so much! In John 1:14 it says, “And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; and we {actually} saw His glory (His honor, His majesty) such glory as an only begotten Son receives from his father, full of grace (favor, loving-kindness) truth.”

The Bible goes on to say in Hebrews 1:3 that Jesus, “He is the sole expression of the glory of God {the Light-Being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine}, and He is the perfect imprint and very image of {God’s} nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine majesty on high,”

May we remember that Jesus remains the exact expression and representation of God. God shows us His heart in the second person of the trinity. He has not left us as orphans. He has come to us and revealed who He is to us. May we know God as our Father through Jesus the Son and be empowered by the Holy Spirit to bring “on earth as it is in heaven”!

FAMILY UPDATE

Your partnership makes a great difference! Recently, we enjoyed a great time bowling, as a family, with the Japanese community in Jackson and the surrounding area. What a great opportunity to have gotten to meet Japanese people here in MS.

Meanwhile, Samantha has fun teaching at the Japanese School on Saturday mornings. Please pray her and us as we desire to share the Gospel with the Japanese community here.

Also, the other day, as we hung out with the kids at God’s Haven, we met a boy whose mother and family entered the shelter for help. This boy gave us trouble and didn’t want to listen. Finally, we prayed silently and was lead to show him the guitar. The boy took interest in the guitar immediately and, before you knew it, he began to sing to Jesus in a loud voice. Now, he couldn’t play the guitar for real, but, when he sang, the whole spiritual atmosphere changed!

When we went back to God’s Haven. He showed me his new guitar he had gotten for his birthday. May Jesus be glorified and please pray for the hurting kids who enter this shelter. May God use us to impact this generation for Him.

I also look to hang out at an orphanage with some real special kids and learn so much more about God, the Kingdom, and reaching out to those near to God ‘s heart.

I need your help supporting this trip with prayer and/or finances. The cost of the trip will be app. $2,600. I am hoping to have things set by around the end of February. Please pray and ask God what he would have you to give.

A Kingdom Conferred...

Dear Partners, Warriors, and Friends,

Blessed and prosperous New Year`s to you! Thank you for blessing us with your prayers and support.

I am excited about what the Lord has in store for us this year. After making a quick trip to OH/PA to get our kids braces fixed and to see family, friends, etc., over the New Year Holiday, we have made it back to MS.

SAMANTHA`S BIG ADVENTURE

Immediately, Samantha started teaching on Saturday`s at the Japanese school here in MS. She teaches 2nd grade and 5th grade and helps out with the other grades too. While some students are half Japanese and half American, she can only speak Japanese during the school hours. Please pray for her as she reaches out to these students with the love of God.

BALLET MAGNIFICAT

Meanwhile, Jake and Abigail have started up again at BM. Please pray for them as they prepare for the next spring performance. And, pray for Jake as he dances with the Ballet Magnificat youth section sharing the love of Jesus through the dance in various places in Jackson and the surrounding area.

GOD`S HAVEN

God`s Haven continues to  reach out to needy mother`s and their children. One of the mother`s had a baby over the Holidays. We plan to take baby hats and socks to her this Thursday. I also hope to be able to put together a baby bed for use at the safe house. We love joining with this ministry and hanging out with the kids on Thursday nights. Please pray for us that we may show God`s love to each child.

PHILIPPINES - APRIL 2012 (MEDICAL MISSION OUTREACH)

I am really excited about the Lord`s leading to go on a medical and dental mission trip to the Philippines with Asian Relief and Medical services (ARMS).

I am going with many others from Okinawa, the Philippines, the U.S. The primary focus of th etrip is a medical mission to the poor in several locations. In similar trips the previous years, the team has treated over 5,000 people and led nearly 3,000 people to Christ.

We look to treat as many people as possible and the opportunity to share the gospel is unlimited. what a fantastic chance to meet both physical and spiritual needs of the poor in Asia.

I would like to as your help in supporting me with prayer and/or finances. The cost of the trip will be app. $2,600. I am hoping to raise the money by around the end of February. I plan to connect with you in a little while to discuss mor about this eternally important trip.

A KINGDOM CONFERRED....

During the "Last Supper" before Jesus went to the cross, He spoke to His disciples and said, "And I confer on you a Kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me, so that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom...". (Luke 22: 29, 30)

I am amazed at how Jesus receives from the Father and gladly passes it on to us His children. So, just as Jesus received a Kingdom mandate, we too have received that same Kingdom mandate. In fact, it says in Matthew 6:33 "But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Jesus lives in us, so we don not have to figure it out on our own strength. As we yield to Him, He works through us.

My prayer is that we may have revelation of how our Heavenly Father has conferred on us the Kingdom of His Son Jesus. May we reflect that Kingdom in our sphere of influence remembering that the Holy Spirit is with us wherever we go.

Blessings,
Mark G. (Michelle)
