Love and Blessings from Mark and Michelle Gulland- an Update- March 25th

Hi! God is so-o-o-o good! I saw several healing miracles this week. I thank God for one gentlemen`s headache and migraine like symptoms getting healed when praying in the name of Jesus. Also, another young man with sinus and headache like symptoms got touched by the power of God when prayed for. Finally, I prayed over some folks in Japan; over skype. They later reported how their kids were touched and healed in that area. Praise to Jesus!

JAPAN RELIEF EFFORT

The focus on the world right now is JAPAN.  It is very much in our hearts every day.  We have been grieved and shocked as we watch the news and see clips on facebook.  Our hearts have been very heavy for our beloved country and the people we so very much love.  As you know,  we planted a church in Sendai.  It is still going on now with Jeremy and Kumiko Jenkins pastoring.  Every one is accounted for so far.  We have no news from many other friends and neighbors in the area.  So,  we still pray for them.  Michelle's sister, Teddy and Ron Sawka, are still there and are doing everything they can to help out midst all the rubble and shortages.  Over the past week, we got to  share on internet radio, got interviewed with the local newspaper, and got on a Tri-state regional TV station (WICU TV-12) to talk concerning Japan. And, if you would like to make a special donation to help with the effort, please refer to Grace Fellowship Church of Titusville at gfctitusville@gmail.com to get all the details.  If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact us.

PRAY FOR JAPAN

As we have been praying,  we feel the Lord is saying that now is the time for Japan.  We have also been praying for the earthquakes to CEASE there for NOW, so that the believers can gather themselves together and that GOD'S purposes in this crisis can unfold.  He loves Japan so very much.  It is a now time.  Pray for God's great father-heart love to spread around to the hurting people.  Pray that they will see visions of Jesus reaching out to them.  Pray for relieve efforts and the return of much needed supplies.
It is very hard for us to watch at a distance.  Please pray for our little family here in Titusville to know the times and seasons.  We had hoped to visit Japan this summer.  Now we wait for God's timing and look for the open doors.

UPDATE ON OUR KIDS

Our kids have been very stirred as they see the news.  They recognize all the places they see!  They wonder how old school friends are doing in Sendai and Natori.  Samantha, just about to finish her sophmore year,  still has Japan and the Philippines in her heart.  She would like to return to Faith Academy next year.  Jake is doing very well with the NACD program and just got accepted into the summer program at Ballet Magnificat! again.  Marcia and Abigail are fine, but express concern about friends who do not know Jesus.  It is action time for all of us!  "People get ready, Jesus is COMING!"  Thank you for your prayers as we push ahead with our kids.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR FRIENDSHIP, PRAYERS AND LOVING SUPPORT

You have helped us to be able to communicate God`s heart of love for the Japanese and help stir us to action in bringing expansion to ministry, on both sides of the Pacific, for the Kingdom of God. We are so grateful to you and ask God`s richest blessing on you. We truly appreciate your partnership in the Gospel! As we continue on in the mission for Japan and Asia, feel free to look us up on facebook. Also, I have started a blog which I encourage you to join. In the meantime, we Gullands look forward to keeping in touch with you and passing along the riches of His grace.

Mission to Japan and Asia - March 18th

Hi! I thank God for His goodness and your partnership! Michelle and I just returned from an interview on a local internet radio station about Japan. In just a few moments, we will be getting interviewed by a local newspaper. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the family and friends (and everyone) in Japan at this time. In this weeks update, I want to share a blog from brother Bill Faught Jr. of Legacy of Worship Ministries. He spoke about what causes expansion in ministry and the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Please read this great word below.

Pray for us:
1. Japan and the donation efforts going on here. (send gifts to Grace Fellowship Church of Titusville, PA,  gfctitusville.com for more info. Be sure to write "Japan" in the memo)
2. Jacob. He received a scholarship to attend Ballet Magnificat this summer. Congratulations! Please pray for him as he prepares.

What Causes Expansion in Ministry Part 5 - Bill Faught Jr.
I heard the Lord clearly speak this morning the following sentence that will set the tone for our fifth and final segment in this leadership series. He said, “Expansion in ministry comes is ways that is often overlooked.” We will return one last time to II Corinthians 10:

12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. 13 But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you. 14 For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ:15 Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men's labors; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly, 16 To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man's line of things made ready to our hand. 17 But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.18 For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.

At this moment you and I are thinking about the earthquakes and tsunami that recently happened in Japan. It is sad, to say the least, to see the people of this advanced nation (or any other nation) experience such an atrocity. Our hearts, prayers and monies reach out to the people of Japan. In the midst of this, though, we hear reports of another kind from missionaries who actually live in the city where this calamity struck. A video is circulating on Face Book of Ron Sawka, of Arise International, declaring (paraphrased), “We believe this will usher in revival to Japan.”
While we can never believe God is author of such events (for He desires all to be saved), we can count on Him using these events to shake nations and to present opportunities for the Church to “arise and shine”. While emotions of the people of Japan are tender, their hearts will be open to hearing the Gospel of Christ. In fact, another friend who is a missionary to Japan posted this comment, saying, “Our neighbor mentioned that the reason we were sent to Japan by God was not to die”. Obviously, people are already thinking about eternity, the condition of their souls and the real reason why God sent missionaries to them!
At the beginning of this leadership blog I wrote what the Lord said to me this morning. Again, He said, “Expansion in ministry comes is ways that are often overlooked.”
I know of two missionary families that the Lord moved back from Japan to the USA within the last three years. Think about this: Did the Lord have them move back to the USA just for their protection? Or was the ultimate reason He moved them to the USA to communicate His heart of love for the Japanese to the Western Church and to help stir us to action (because He knew these calamities were coming)? It is entirely possible the Lord is bringing expansion to ministry on both sides of the Pacific Ocean at this moment. Think about it?
What a sad moment in Church history if we fail to recognize the potential of ministry awaiting us. Let us not repeat history. At the close of World War II, general over Armed Forces of the Pacific Rim, Gen. Douglas McArthur, gave the clarion call to the United States to send missionaries to Japan to assist with the clean up and rebuilding of this fallen nation. Very, very few actually responded. Now, fifty years later, there are only approximately 1 ½ % Christians in Japan. Simply stated, we cannot – we must not – allow this opportunity for expansion in the kingdom of God to pass us by. Here are a few things we can do:

1) Pray, Pray, Pray- assemble the intercessors of your church and pray for the missionaries who are presently on site who do not have food, water, gas and other basic resources. Encourage your families to spend a few moments before you eat each meal and include the missionaries in your prayers.
2) Find reputable ministries to support- if you do not have a direct connection with a ministry in Japan, we have relationships with four ministries that we will be happy to share with you.
3) Get the Word out- spread the news and get others involved in this effort. We can get behind this ministry opportunity and push toward the greatest harvest Japan has ever seen!

Brothers and sisters, we can watch world events and listen to the news, or we can involve ourselves in making history. “Making history” is part of your destiny! Remember, if you need the name of a reputable ministry to support in Japan or names of people to pray for, please contact us directly by email: info@legacyofworship.com

Let us seize the moment, and arise and build,

Brother Bill

Ministering the Glory of the Lord - March 10th

Hi! Thank you for joining us on what God wants us to do. The presence of God moved mightily this week. It is so amazing to be able to share from God's Word and to release the Glory of the Lord. This past Sunday, many people shared how blessed they were from being in the presence of God. Two individuals testified how God healed their body during the meeting. PTL! May God get all the glory and praise!!! On Tuesday, we attended the monthly AIM meeting with Bishop Jim and Jan Erb. We were so blessed by the power and presence of God in this meeting.  It is so good to be connected and to worship together. Thank you for standing with us at this time.

FAMILY UPDATE

Abigail turned 11 years old on March 7th. Abigail continues to do well in school. She also participates in a local puppet ministry. Recently, the puppet group did a "hip-hop" dance to a song where Abby showed some great moves. I thank God for her and may she have a blessed year. Meanwhile, while Jake continues doing the NACD program with a home-school component, Samantha and Marcia continue to attend a local school.

Michelle and I, while getting some of the educational needs met for the kids, continue to seek God and rest in that we are confident He is opening the road before us. We thank God for this time of furlough from Japan and look forward to the days ahead. Thank you for praying for us during this time.

PRAYER NEEDS

1. A computer for Jacob`s school. (the computer we are currently using remains on the brink of falling apart)
2. Partners who will connect with us financially during this time of furlough
3. Increased release of strategy for the days ahead.

PRAYER STRATEGY

Perhaps you are familiar with the Hebrew calendar. By looking at it, a person may more clearly gain an understanding of the times and seasons in what God is doing. And, I have found looking at the calendar to be very helpful in releasing a strategy for prayer. Here`s some of what God is saying and how we can pray: (This material comes from Chuck Pierce - Glory of Zion Ministries- feel free to check it out on their website)
  • This is a time to overturn non-valid, evil devised decrees and overturn curses. Anytime the enemy shouts (or reminds you of) a curse at you, shout and start worshiping.
  • This is a time of good communication. Its time to remove every facade and mask. In other words, everything is ok because of God and His presence, but there is hell through this time.
  • Faith thoughts will break the power of the root of depression and despair. Do not come in agreement with depression anymore. When you feel depressed, sit down, and capture your thoughts (II Cor. 10:5-6)
  • This is a time to develop your war strategy (spiritual war) I encourage you to read through the days of Moses birth.
  • Don`t let what look like giants produce fear in you; guard yourself against idolatry. (fear, idolatry go together)
  • It`s a time to witness life entering into darkness with the advantage of light taking over darkness.
  • The power of barrenness is being broken
  • Shout "my fear shall laugh" - Laugh at your enemies (remember our battle is not against flesh and blood) Remember to draw near to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
  • Enter into a new dimension of laughter and expression of joy or abounding joy.
  • Leap!! In other words, God is causing something to come alive in some way this season
  • Remember the fish and loaves - Find your supply in the "hidden world" - (all bills paid)
  • The month to overturn worry through the release of supply. In other words, every time worry sweeps over you, as Him to release joy, and to release new supply)
  • A time to celebrate in your exile- Then enter you redemptive plan. One idea is to have a dinner party and have some guests.

On furlough from Japan! - This week (March 4th)

Hi! Thanks so much for standing with us.

A/P MINISTRY PREP

I thank God for the opportunity I`ve had this week to learn more about A/P ministry at the Firestorm conference in Harrisburg, PA. I have enjoyed sitting under the powerful ministries of people like Heidi Baker, Lou Engle, Matt Sorger, etc. I thank God for greater vision and clarity as to God`s purposes as we continue on in the USA during this furlough time. Pray for us to get all we need for the days ahead.

HOLY MERGER CONFERENCE

Truly God continues to merge the worship, intercession, and the prophetic to release deeper intimacy with God. Someone once said, "Intimacy precedes fruitfulness". I thank God for the opportunity I had to assist in this conference and may God release more and more revelation in this area.

GOD`S GOODNESS

I taught the kids on God`s goodness at Kids4truth this week. God remains totally separated from sin. In other words, He is holy. And, in His purity, no sin can enter His presence. We all have sinned and fallen short of God`s glory. Yet, in His goodness, He demonstrated His love for us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. He became sin for us, so that through Him, we might be receive forgiveness and be enabled to freely and boldly go to Him. Let`s be grateful for His love and grace this week.

A testimony from the recent conference "Holy Merger" - March 1st

God moved mightily among us at last weekend`s conference. Here`s a testimony from a person who attended. May God be glorified!! mark g.

I attended all 3 sessions of The Holy Merger.  On Saturday night I was sitting on an aisle seat with no one to my right.  I was trying to quiet my mind and focus on Brother Bill.  But my mind wanted to wander like it always does!  My mind wandered to all the problems I usually pray about.  I kept telling my mind to be still.   My hips and legs were hurting (remember the prayer request I sent last week?)
Finally it happened, my mind was focused on God and how awesome He is and I was praising Him out loud and I really felt like I was in His presence.   All of a sudden, I felt someone touch my right hip and back area.  I turned around to see who it was and no one was there!!!   I really believe the Lord touched me!!!

Fall Mission Trip to Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico Date: October 18th - 25th or 26th 2024 Jacob and I are so excited the doors have opened ...
