Thank you so much for your thoughts, prayers, and support of us!
"Do not deprive the alien or the fatherless of justice, or take the cloak of the widow as a pledge. Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and the Lord your God redeemed you from there. That is why I command you to do this." Deuteronomy 24: 17,18
MISSISSIPPI- USA
Although we continue to make many adjustments to Mississippi, God remains faithful. Our son Jacob has connected with the Ballet Magnificat ministry in Jackson. And, in order to cover his involvement, Michelle also serves in this ministry by sewing costumes for the ballet dancers. We thank God for the opportunity to connect with this ministry. Feel free to look up Ballet Magnificat on the internet to see how God uses this work to touch many lives for the sake of the Kingdom of God.
FAMILY
Meanwhile, we are all doing well as a family. While I continue to help out with the cleaning at CLH and prepare for a mission trip (see below), Michelle works with Jacob`s NACD school program. She also assists with the girls school studies as well. I can`t believe Samantha has become a senior. We are so proud of her. Marcia has entered the ninth grade and is doing well. And, Abigail is in the fifth grade. Please pray for us as we continue to make this step to MS on the way to Japan and Asia.
CAMBODIA
I wanted to write and share with you that, in October, I will be going to Cambodia on a medical mission with friends and contacts from Japan. I had been invited on this trip for a long time, but with all the adjustments to MS, I did not think I could participate. Then, out of the blue, God provided a couple of special gifts to cover my ticket. So, after praying and talking it over with Michelle, I felt a peace in my spirit to go. Although I still need some finances for the "extra`s" that go with taking this kind of trip, I thank God for His perfect timing.
I will leave on the 8th of October for the capital city Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Then, I will join a team of doctors, dentists, and believers from Okinawa, Japan and the USA. We will travel to various places in difficult outlying areas and host clinics. We will have an evangelism tent, a children`s ministry, a medical clinic, and a dental clinic; complete with a pharmacy. It goes without saying the needy people, extreme poverty, and spiritual darkness, we will encounter. We will reach out to 1,000 to 1,500 people with each clinic. I am scheduled to be a part of at least three clinics during the time I am there. I return to MS on the 17th of October.
Michelle and I wanted to let you know about this trip and a little of what is happening with us while in MS. I would like to ask you to especially pray for my family and I as we continue to adjust to MS and reach out to Cambodia.
