International Ballet Competition
The other day, the owner of Ballet Magnificat talked to Michelle and encouraged her to have Jake and Abigail audition for the International Ballet Competition Summer Dance School. We had no idea about this kind of an event, held every four years in Jackson, Ms, where kids between the ages of 12 and 20 may participate in a training intensive taught by international ballet teachers. This school is going on at the same time as the International Ballet Competition.
We were told on a Thursday that this audition would take place on Saturday. Since we had no plans on Saturday, and thinking that this would be a good experience, we went. Out of the good number of kids auditioning for the scholarship, we learned that only four scholarships would be awarded.
Much to our delight, out of the four scholarships granted, two of them went to Jacob and Abigail. They both received scholarships to attend! What a great honor! PTL! This will give them an amazing opportunity to be trained by international ballet teachers. It will also give them great exposure to the international ballet world as they will be able to train by day and watch the competition at night.
The event takes place from June 14th to June 29th. Please pray for Jake and Abbie as they will study with leading dance teachers and watch world-class dancers on stage.
