The Power of the Testimony!

HI! I thank God for you! This week, I am reminded of the power of the testimony. David, before facing Goliath, shared this testimony to King Saul.

In I Samuel 17, David spoke to Saul and said, "Your servant has been keeping his father`s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has denied the armies of the living God. The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand this Philistine."

Wow! A person I heard speak recently shared the meaning of the word "testimony". He studied up on the word and found it meant "God, do it again!" Yes, Lord, as we share our testimonies, may God arise in our midst and "do it again" for His glory and Kingdom. PTL!!

So what is YOUR testimony???  You can use it to route the enemy. Send them along so we can encourage each other in the Lord!

JAPAN RELIEF UPDATE

Here are a couple of FB posts from Jeremy and Kumi in Japan to Michelle:

Jeremy and Kumi in Japan
Michelle, Sendai is much, much better than the other places, of course... they are saying that the recovery process is much slower than it was for Kobe. I have a feeling that the small towns and cities are just dealing with the immediate need providing temporary solution, but I'm not sure if there are any real long term strategy... it's just my impression as I have no TV here where we are staying. We got connected with a nurse who works in Iwate and goes to shelters in Kesennuma regularly, and she said that the situation has not improved and people are getting more depressed.

Jeremy and Kumi in Japan Also feel prayer is needed for the voluntary workers and self defence force guys... it's been 2 months+ and many have been working on high stress level non stop. This is a long term effort and I know this is where we need to depend on God so we are not just needs driven but always work from God's love and resting in Him. Eaiser said than done, maybe, so I just keep praying.

So, please pray for Japan in the following ways:

  • Pray for a long term strategy for recovery to come forth.
  • Pray for improvement in the situation at the shelters
  • Pray for the spirit of depression to lift from the people
  • Pray for J & K, and all of us, that we will always work from God`s love and resting in Him
  • Pray and declare this disaster marks the beginning of revival in Japan
MESSAGE FROM MARK AND MICHELLE

Although we as a family miss being in Japan very much, we know God has us here in the USA for such a time as this. Thank you for standing with us as we continue to communicate God`s love everywhere we go; including God`s love for the Japanese and the people of Asia. Pray we may be able to bring expansion in ministry through prayer, networking, and taking mission trips on both sides of the Pacific.

Also, we want to thank you for partnering with us at this time. If you are not already a partner, would you consider becoming a monthly partner with us? This partnership enables us to share of God`s love and to bring awareness of His heart for Asia. Thank you.
